About the Course
To expand academic horizons and strengthen understanding of international Buddhist research, we have specially invited Professor Huaiyu Chen from the Department of Religious Studies at Arizona State University to deliver a series of special lectures.
This series will introduce the latest developments and diverse perspectives within Buddhist Studies in the English-speaking academic world. The lectures will explore the influence of Buddhism and research methodologies across various fields, covering topics such as environmental ethics, historiography, scripture and iconography, and material culture.
This course aims to help students grasp contemporary academic trends while enhancing their proficiency in academic English.
