This book is edited by Dr. Chung-Ta Lee (Assistant Professor at the Department of Chinese Literature, Tunghai University), engaged in the research of the interaction between Ming Dynasty's Confucian Mind School and Buddhist Chan thoughts. This book seeks to investigate new Ming and Qing Dynasty's Chan school literature through the edited and collated idioms of Jiasui Chan Master. This reflected how the Caodong school was situated in those turbulent eras, how it managed to survive and eventually died out, and how the various Caodong masters of the past dealt with different people and various situations.
